ATLEGA COMMUNITY PROJECTS NPC 2023/940165/08 was established as a Non-Profit Company. “Atlega” is a local Setswana word which means to prosper, achieve, succeed and make progress.

HOW ATLEGA WAS FORMED

During 2022, as part of Sehlare Sa Meetlwa9s drive to improve the lives of the communities we work and live in, SSM reached out to various project leaders in the community and were made aware of the needs of two local schools: Refentse Primary School in Groenwater, Postmasburg and Maikaelelo Primary School in Olifantshoek. After the success of the initial outreach programme, which included a Christmas Gifts engagement in late 2022 followed by a Back-to-School event in early 2023, the SSM team took the decision to invest in a longer-term relationship with the two primary schools, and Atlega Community Projects was born.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

The popularity of our monthly “Kathu Connect” has led to overwhelming support from attendees eager to contribute. To sustain this valuable platform, we’ve introduced a R5,000 sponsorship opportunity (one sponsorship per event). Proceeds will directly benefit Atlega Community Projects, allowing us to accelerate school improvements.
